Our International Mobility Program:

  • Brings up to 60 brightest electrical engineering students with improved smart grid knowledge to industry across Europe
  • Creates better opportunities for future workforce to answer the challenges in the industry and gain experience in real working environment
  • Enables enterprises to solve challenges, get fresh ideas and introduce their activities to future generations of electrical engineers

Complementary to the challenge and case-based modules a practical hands-on approach of the industry-academia collaboration is integrated to the project in the form of international mobility. The mobility helps to facilitate international collaboration and networking between the students and enterprises and creates broader understanding on the industry challenges.

As part of the mobility, practical challenges at enterprises are faced and solved, excursions to energy companies´ production facilities and job-shadowing can be organized. International mobility is a source of comparative information and perspective and provides a great input to compose industry-driven masters thesis.

Selected students who have completed the SMAGRINET Modules gained the possibility to participate in the mobility program in the summer season of 2021. SMAGRINET Mobility Program roadshows will continue throughout the rest of the year. The duration of the mobility varies from a few days to weeks depending on the requirements of the curriculum to what the mobility is related to.
