Ukraine, Portugal, Poland and The Netherlands are the new countries joining the “SMART GRID from A to Z” courses for its second round! If you are from one of these countries, you have now a dedicated course just for you.
SMAGRINET 2nd academic year already successfully started in September 2021.
Eight universities and one national power company within and beyond the consortium are currently working on the SMAGRINET short-term programmes.
The second pilot is running until the end of February 2022. Apart from the previously involved countries, the courses attracted a large group of participants from the Ukraine. Two sessions are planned: the first session ran for the period from 27th September 2021 until the 12th of November 2021 and the second session started on the 15th of November 2021 and will be running until the end of the year 2021.
Further short-term programmes deployment is planned in:
1) Poland
2) Netherlands
3) Portugal
The courses are in English. A Certificate will be provided upon a successful completion of the course.

Besides the on-line course „Smart Grid from A to Z“ developed on the LMS Canvas, the consortium offered course coordination in cooperation with local organisations, continuous support for participants and series of online live sessions when participants have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about recent research projects and activities in the field of smart grids.
Common online live sessions are organised within the pilots in Germany, France and in Ukraine. This allows experts involved in online live sessions to connect with each other and maximizes the impact of knowledge, competencies and expertise exchange.
Facts from the Ukraine pilots:
- 1st pilot: more than 30 workforces from National Power Company “UkrEnergo” and 19 researchers. The pilot included 5 online live sessions, where consortium experts shared experience and gave a lecture.
- 2nd pilot: more than 40 participants have been registered in the course for broader public, as well as around 20 workforces and researchers.
- Pilots in Ukraine are coordinated by Technical University Dresden in cooperation with such local organisations as O.M. Beketov National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv, Lviv State University of Life Safety and National Power Company “UkrEnergo”.
